50 Years: Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre

SUPPORT US

It is a joyous and awesome challenge to sustain the Yiddish theatre legacy in the 21st Century. Yiddish theatre is more than just theatre. It is the dramatization of the Jewish experience. It reflects the whole panorama of Yiddish life.

The Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre is something of a miracle. It is one of the five surviving major Yiddish theatres in the world but remains vibrant and modern. It is also one of the very few Canadian theatres that have been flourishing for 50 years.
