ZumerFest is a celebration of Yiddish culture, Father's Day and Montreal's diversity.
Join us for an afternoon in the park, under the summer sky, where people of all ages will gather to enjoy music, dance and art.
In partnership with KlezKanada, you'll find a stage show with everything from cutting edge Hip-Hop to ethnic Jazz to choirs and sing along! Local bands and international performers!

STAGE SHOW EMCEE
Mendy Cahan is front man of the YXP-Yiddish
Express band and the founder and director of YUNG
YiDiSH , an organization in Israel that gets young
people enthusiastic about Yiddish through concerts
and cultural events - and also saves Yiddish books.
YUNG YiDiSH has centres in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

HEADLINER
SoCalled (aka Josh Dolgin & Band) is led by a
Yiddish rapping, accordion wielding, Klezmer hip
hop maestro. Spanning multiple genres, from
Chassidic to funk, SoCalled has been a favourite at
festivals and venues world-wide. He has appeared
on a dozen recordings as pianist, singer, arranger,
rapper, writer and producer. So get up and dance!

FEATURING
Beyond the Pale is a Canadian Klezmer band that
has been amazing audiences from California to
Cracow. With virtuosity and showmanship, the
group performs a cross-cultural repertoire of
original and traditional Eastern European music
influenced by Klezmer, Roma and Serbian sounds.

Theresa Tova, 'a pan-cultural jazz-cabaret diva" combines Yiddish songs with a modern delivery. accompanied by Matt Herskowitz.
Danielle Guillaume, a lyricist-composer and singer with soul who has made it her mission to promote intercultural exchanges.
Panday Tinig Choral Ensemble - a choir established in 1985 to promote and share the musical heritage of the Philippines.
